The philosophy of Forte Yard Montessori School is based on the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori whose holistic vision of education focuses on the cognitive, social, emotional and physical needs of the child. FYMS fully aligns with the philosophy of Dr. Montessori that education is preparation for life.

The Pre-school section of Forte Yard Montessori School is a specially-prepared Montessori environment, laying a solid foundation for children aged 18 months to 5+. All our pupils follow an adapted form of the Montessori method of child education which is regarded throughout the world as unsurpassed in its ability to help younger children achieve their full potential. Our Preschool School follows the Montessori system of education where children work with Montessori materials and other audio-visual aids to develop their natural skills for learning. Children will be able to play, touch, see and learn. Elementary school start from 5-10years.The School runs British/Nigeria curriculum. Also, dr Maria Montessori method of teaching is being integrated into the system. Children learn at their own pace.
